Pedestrian struck by vehicle
A pedestrian was struck in Lake Success yesterday morning just outside a country club, Nassau police said. The victim's condition wasn't immediately known.
The incident on Lakeville Road occurred near the Fresh Meadow Country Club, north of the Long Island Expressway, and was reported shortly before 11 a.m., police said.
Lake Success Village police and Nassau detectives were at the scene. Police tape stretched across the roadway, temporarily closing the road.
Other details, including whether it was a hit-and-run case, were not immediately available as investigators gathered evidence.

Hempstead man arrested in robbery
A Hempstead man robbed a Metro PCS store at gunpoint earlier in March, Nassau County police said yesterday.
Joseph Eulo, 48, of 162 Parsons Dr., entered the store at 414 Hillside Ave. in New Hyde Park at 4:10 p.m. March 10, threatened a male employee, 39, with a gun and demanded money, detectives said. The employee, alone in the store, gave Eulo an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
After an investigation, Eulo was arrested at his home at 12:35 a.m. yesterday without incident, according to a news release. He is charged with first-degree robbery and criminal possession of a weapon. Police also said he had an open felony parole warrant.
He was arraigned yesterday at First District Court in Hempstead and remanded to jail.
