Had his life not been consumed by baseball, Jake Dittler may have found himself on the greens instead of a pitching mound. His job prevents him from playing golf regularly but when he does, he's been known to shoot in the low 80s and even high 70s.
The 27-year-old pitcher and Las Vegas resident was originally drafted by the Indians in the second round of the 2001 draft and spent seven seasons in their system. In his second season with the Ducks, Dittler has spent time in the rotation and the bullpen and is 7-6 with a 5.03 ERA.
