A group of people briefly took to the chilly waters of the Atlantic Ocean off of Montauk on Sunday, Jan. 1 2017 as part of Gurney's Montauk Resort & Spa's New Year's Day Polar Bear Plunge, with proceeds slated to benefit The Retreat domestic violence agency.
