Anti-snoring pillow approved as medical device

Snoring can be a real problem for the person who snores and the person who sleeps with that someone. Now there is a pillow that may help both.

The anti-snore Sona Pillow is the first pillow to be approved by the FDA as a medical device, so it's got that going for it.

According to the maker, it will reduce snoring and sleep apnea by 70 percent. The Sona Pillow carefully positions the head to limit jaw movement and clear passageways, ensuring a restful night's sleep, it says. The maker says a significant decrease in snoring will be experienced the very first time one sleeps on a Sona Pillow, and results will further intensify over time.

This could be great news for a lot of people, considering the National Sleep Foundation estimates that two out of three people complain about sleeping with a partner who snores.

Sona pillow is now available at Bed Bath & Beyond stores and online. The cost is $69.99 each, and $19.99 for a custom pillowcase.
