Saturday is the Long Island Adventure Race in Calverton, a mud run with what is promised to be an interesting array of obstacles.

The weather forecast calls for a 70 percent chance of rain. Rain means more mud. Temperatures will be in the 50s. That means cold mud.

Then again, if you don't like mud, you probably shouldn't be doing a mud run.

I did my first mud run at The Survival Race in May and wrote about it here.

This race is called Operation Spotted Owl. Have to admit, I like the sound of that. They promise a few surprises with the obstacles. Should be fun.
