Terrence Johnson of Queens Village was diagnosed with end-stage renal failure. They thought their problems were over when Johnson's wife, Gwendolyn Houston-Johnson was found to be a match, and they underwent surgery in 2011. During the surgery, they say, a contaminating liquid fell on the kidney as it was being transferred, and it never worked at full capacity. Videojournalist: Chris Ware (Sept. 20, 2013)
