It's exactly what it sounds like: a nose, growing out of a man's forehead.
But don't worry, there's good reason for it to be there.
After being badly injured in a car accident, one Chinese man -- identified by Reuters only as Xialian -- was left infected and deformed.
After the accident, which occurred in August of 2012, the 22-year old neglected to get treatment for the condition until some months later, leaving it impossible for doctors to repair his existing nose.
Left with no other options, doctors inserted a combination of cartilage from the man's ribs and a skin tissue expander cut into the shape of a nose into Xialian's forehead.
According to Reuters, local doctors say that the man's new nose, which is expected to be fully functional once moved to its proper place on Xialian's face, is doing well and that the transplant surgery may be performed soon.
