Lottery: Take 5 winning ticket sold at Ronkonkoma store

One lucky person no doubt has designs on a fabulous holiday season after buying a winning Take 5 ticket this week at the J&C Gift and Fashion store on Portion Road in Ronkonkoma.

New York Lottery officials said the winning ticket for the Monday night drawing is worth $30,750.50.

It’s the second top-prize winning Take 5 ticket sold in Ronkonkoma within the last month. On Nov. 20, a winner worth $53,581 was sold at the nearby Thrifty Beverage on Goldbach Avenue, lottery officials said Tuesday.

The winning ticket sold at J&C matched five of five numbers: 13, 19, 23, 31 and 37. An additional 197 players statewide matched four of five numbers for $468. In total, officials said there were 83,802 winning tickets sold statewide.

Some of those tickets are for a free drawing.

As of Tuesday morning the winning ticket holder for the ticket sold at J&C had not been identified. Officials said winning tickets expire one year after the drawing.

Numbers are drawn nightly from a pool of 39 available numbers. Prizes can be claimed at Lottery Customer Service Centers statewide, including on the South Service Road of the Long Island Expressway in Plainview, officials said.
