The numbers drawn in the Mega Millions jackpot Tuesday night at 11 p.m. were 15, 17, 20, 35 and 55, with the Mega Ball 7.
The jackpot for the drawing was $390 million.
Earlier, lottery officials said there was a slight chance Tuesday’s Mega Millions lottery jackpot would hit $400 million.
Gardner Gurney, director of the state’s division of the lottery, said sales for the jackpot, now at $390 million, could provide a “bump” in the jackpot.
If there is no winner, the jackpot Friday could be $415 million.
“Sales in New York on Saturday and Sunday were substantially more than the prior weekend,” Gurney said, after no one matched the numbers in Friday’s drawing.
And Gurney said sales Monday and Tuesday were looking to be considerably higher.
Better-than-anticipated sales for jackpots in the $300 million range usually mean a “bump” or increase in the grand prize.
If it were to bump to $400 million, the grand prize would be the fourth highest in Mega history, just off the $414 million jackpot in March 2014. There also was a $390 million jackpot in 2007.
Nationwide, three tickets matched five numbers on Friday: 11, 14, 54, 57 and 63, but missed the Mega Ball of 11.
Those three tickets were worth $1 million each.
New York’s largest Mega prize for Friday’s drawing was $5,000; 12 tickets sold in the state had four of the five numbers plus the Mega Ball, lottery officials said.
