For the fifth time this month the winning ticket in the nightly Take 5 drawing has been sold on Long Island — this time, in Lindenhurst, New York Lottery officials said.
The winning ticket, sold for the Wednesday night drawing, also marks the fourth time the winner was sold in Suffolk.
The winning numbers for the Wednesday night drawing were 2, 10, 29, 36 and 37. The winning ticket was sold at the Maakrupa Super Stop store at 200A Montauk Hwy., officials said.
The winning ticket, which matched all five drawn numbers, was one of two sold statewide. The other was sold in Glens Falls. Each is worth $30,950.50, officials said.
In addition, 179 players hit four of the five numbers to win $518.50 each, while another 6,532 hit three of five numbers to win $23.50. A total of 73,439 players each earned a free ticket, matching two of the five numbers drawn for Dec. 14.
So far in December, 10 of the 14 Take 5 drawings have had winners, some single winners and others with multiple winning tickets sold. Of those, four winning tickets were sold in Suffolk, one in Nassau, four in Queens, three in Brooklyn and one each in Staten Island and the Bronx. Other counties around New York have accounted for five winners total in that period.
The winning ticket for the Tuesday night drawing was sold at the Bapa Card and Gift shop on Old Country Road in Riverhead, the New York Lottery said Wednesday.
That ticket also matched all five numbers — 1, 3, 7, 25 and 28 — drawn Tuesday night, earning the lucky ticket holder a first-place prize of $63,313, according to the lottery.
