It’s a far cry from $1.586 billion, the biggest lottery jackpot in the history of North American games. But Wednesday’s Powerball grand prize is still a nice chunk o’ change.
The jackpot of $361 million is the ninth-largest in the history of the Powerball game and the 15th largest overall among big-money lottery prizes in the United States, according to lottery records.
January’s $1.586 billion Powerball ranks as the top grand prize in U.S. lottery history.
Wednesday’s lump-sum cash option is worth $250.3 million before taxes.
