Minnesota, Illinois stay alive for another day

Devoe Joseph made two three-pointers during a 10-0 overtime run and scored 17 points to lead Minnesota past No. 11 Michigan State, 72-67, Friday night in a Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal in Indianapolis.

The Gophers are 20-12.

Raymar Morgan had 23 points to lead Michigan State (24-8), which played without guard Chris Allen, who was suspended for the game by coach Tom Izzo for "not meeting responsibilities to his teammates."

Illinois 58, Wisconsin 54: Mike Tisdale scored 21 points and Illinois (19-13) fended off a frenetic rally by No. 13 Wisconsin (23-8) in the Big Ten Tournament.

Ohio State 69, Michigan 68: Big Ten player of the year Evan Turner drained a 37-footer at the buzzer for No. 5 OSU (25-7).

Miami 70, Virginia Tech 65: Durand Scott scored 11 of his 17 points in the final six minutes for last-place Miami in an ACC Tournament quarterfinal in Greensboro, N.C. DeQuan Jones had 14 points for the Hurricanes (20-12). The Hokies are 23-8.

San Diego State 72, New Mexico 69: Billy White scored 28 points for the Aztecs (24-8) and Dairese Gary missed a runner in the final second for No. 8 New Mexico (29-4) in the Mountain West semifinals in Las Vegas.

Kansas 79, Texas A&M 66: Xavier Henry scored 11 points in a 21-2 run that broke it open for No. 1 Kansas (31-2) in the Big 12 semifinals in Kansas City, Mo.

Tennessee 76, Mississippi 65: Wayne Chism had 16 points and 15 rebounds, J.P. Prince scored 17 points and the No. 15 Vols (25-7) advanced to face Kentucky in the SEC Tournament in Nashville, Tenn. Ole Miss is 21-11.

Lehigh 74, Lafayette 59: C.J. McCollum scored 20 points and Zahir Carrington had 18 points and 10 rebounds as host Lehigh (22-10) won the Patriot League title.
