Photographer Delia D. Blackburn was ready to capture the moment Brittany Peck walked down the aisle with her father. But the bride was suddently interrupted from her ceremony for an amazing reason.
"He walked up to his daughter's stepfather [and] pulled him down the aisle to walk their daughter down the aisle together," Blackburn wrote on Facebook on Sept. 27 alongside her photos from the special day.
People were really confused when the father of the bride stopped the procession, she wrote. Blackburn said she never stopped taking photos.
That's how she captured the exact moment Todd Bachman grabbed the stepfather's arm so they could give away their daughter together.
"Not a dry eye at the ceremony... including me," Blackburn said. The tearful bridesmaids and guests can be seen in the background of the picture.
Blackburn's image from the ceremony has received more than 1 million likes in just three days.
Among hundreds of Facebook users, a comment from the bride herself stands out: "Seriously this needs to be shared!! Amazing work Delia D. Blackburn I'm so lucky to have this," Peck wrote.
For most wedding photgraphers, it takes hundreds to compile an album that accurately captures how special the day was. But for Blackburn, it only took one shot. Her photo has been shared by thousands and was first picked up by ABC 7.
