A fugitive was unhappy with the mug shot police in Lima, Ohio were using to attempt to locate him, so he asked them to use a selfie he took instead.

Donald Chip Pugh sent the Lima Police Department a photo of himself in his car with text that read, “here is a better photo, that one is terrible.” In the picture, a clean-shaven Pugh is seen wearing a plaid blazer, dress shirt and sunglasses.

“We thank him for being helpful, but now we would appreciate it if he would come speak to us at the LPD about his charges,” the police department wrote on Facebook on Jan. 6 alongside Pugh’s pictures.

According to the Facebook post, the 45-year-old suspect is wanted in the state of Ohio for failing to appear in court after a DUI. He’s also a person of interest in “several other cases including an arson and vandalism."

Thousands on Facebook have shared the Lima Police Department’s photo and there’s even a “Free Chip Pugh” fan page, but he doesn't seem to have any plans to turn himself in.

“It went viral in a way,” he said during a radio interview on 104.9 FM, the New York Post says. “I started having fun with it. I became a hometown hero. I can’t help but run with it."
