SALT LAKE CITY - SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The father of a 28-year-old woman who went missing more than a week ago says he doesn't think his son-in-law would do anything to hurt his daughter, and understands why he felt the need to hire an attorney.
Charles Cox tells CBS's "The Early Show" that the last time he spoke to his daughter, he asked her if things were OK between her and her husband and she said everything was fine.
Cox also says Susan Powell would never leave her children.
He tells ABC's "Good Morning America" that he's holding out hope his daughter will be found.
Susan Powell was reported missing Dec. 7 when she didn't show up to work and her children weren't dropped off at day care.
Josh Powell told police took his two boys, ages 2 and 4, camping that day and returned in the evening.
