President Obama listens to Eminem backstage at DNC, video shows

Boyz II Men, Alicia Keys and Katy Perry weren’t the only musicians politicians listened to at the 2016 Democratic National Convention last month in Philadelphia.

A recently released video of backstage scenes from the convention shows President Barack Obama listening to rapper Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” Footage from the Hillary Clinton campaign shows Obama bobbing his head to the beat, as others look on and laugh.

As a result of Obama’s choice of inspiration and smooth moves, “Eminem” began trending on Facebook.

“Our prez is one cool dude (if you can get passed the mom jeans),” Roberto Abramowitz said.

“I loved watching this and I can't help but think things were VERY different, backstage at the RNC convention. Just sayin',” Tink Boord-Dill wrote.

Other Facebook users weren’t as fond of the video.

“Why are they inflicting this propaganda on us? Barry Hussein listening to a white guy who is a rapper. Wow, what a surprise, the pandering to several groups,” Skip Klauber wrote.

“Will the man ever grow up? Is this what we expect to see from the alleged "leader of the free world?’” Jeff Murto said.

Some are using the video to reignite an Eminem versus Drake debate.

“Even Barack knows Eminem is a legend! Drake needs to fall back and pay homage rather than calling out the rap god!!” Abdul Lateef Mamoon wrote on Facebook.

Maybe we should let Obama decide.
