Irascible actor Alec Baldwin, 54, took time out from inveighing against the tabloid press on Twitter and fighting with photographers Saturday to marry yoga teacher Hilaria Thomas, 28, at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in Nolita.
The day of his marriage, he repeatedly Tweeted romantic lines from an Emily Dickinson poem, but by Sunday was back on the social networking site asking, "If US magazine folded on Monday, would you care? Really?"
In his New York Times wedding announcement, Baldwin and his wife, who will be taking his last name, revealed he put the ball in her court when they met in February 2011 at the health-oriented Manhattan restaurant, Pure Food and Wine. "I must know you," Thomas said he told her before giving her his card and phone number.
"I never ask women for their phone numbers," Baldwin told the paper.
The 30 Rock star, who has had numerous skirmishes with paparazzi, reportedly sold pictures of his nuptials, which included numerous celebrities as well as his daughter, Ireland, 16, from his previous marriage to Kim Basinger, to People magazine.
