The man charged with stalking Caroline Kennedy’s 20-year-old daughter — allegedly calling her his “Hunny Bunny” — rejected a plea deal Monday, opting to take his chances in court.
Naeem Ahmed, 41, turned down a deal that would have reportedly given him two months in jail and three years probation and psychiatric treatment for his December charge of misdemeanor aggravated harassment of Tatiana Schlossberg, sending her e-cards and balloons.
His attorney, Gerald Hertz, didn’t return calls for comment, but has said there’s nothing wrong with his client and that he was only sharing his love for her.
If convicted, Ahmed faces up to a year in jail.
The naturalized Pakistani allegedly sent Schlossberg and her family e-mails, balloons, flowers and other gifts over a two-year span, as well as signing one letter “Your Hubby.”
He is due back in court Feb. 25.
