Arnold Schwarzenegger won’t "be back" just yet.
His reputation and personal life shattered by a shocking sex scandal, the actor and former governor is putting off his Hollywood comeback on hold.
"Gov. Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines. ... We will resume discussions when Gov. Schwarzenegger decides,'' his spokesman said in a statement.
After separating last week from Maria Shriver, his wife of 25 years, it was revealed this week that the former California governor and "Terminator" star had fathered a secret child 13 years ago with his housekeeper.
Schwarzenegger acting plans include a starring role in a new "Terminator" movie and an animated TV series called "The Governator."
— Shriver has reportedly hired high-power attorney Laura Wasser, who has represented Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and Kiefer Sutherland, among others. People.com reported that Shriver was unsure whether she would file for divorce.
— The alleged woman at the center of the scandal, Mildred Patricia Baena, 50, reportedly was obsessed with Shriver, dressing in her clothes and wearing her jewelry outside of the home, according to TMZ.
— Schwarzenegger only admitted the affair and child after Shriver confronted him directly, after getting Baena to admit the child was hers, according to RadarOnline. The website added that Shriver had suspected the betrayal for a long time.
