Danza to take lead in musical 'Honeymoon in Vegas'
Jason Robert Brown's musical version of the film comedy "Honeymoon in Vegas," which has been in development for what seems like forever, will finally premiere next season in Toronto, with a Broadway production soon to follow. Tony Danza will star as the Vegas gambler who tries to steal a nice guy's gal away.

Heads up, redheads: 'Annie' revival to hold open audition
Know someone who wants to be a singing and dancing orphan? The new Broadway revival of "Annie," which will open in the fall, is holding an open-call audition on Feb. 26 in L.A. But for those unable to make it, performers can submit a recorded audition to the show's website, anniethemusical.com.

Rudin contemplating moving 'Book of Mormon' in revenge
Will Broadway's biggest hit musical change its theater due to a personal vendetta? Last week, Scott Rudin abruptly quit as lead producer of Bruce Norris' Pulitzer-winning play "Clybourne Park" after Norris quit Rudin's TV pilot.

This left Jujamcyn Theaters exec Jordan Roth with little choice but to take over as producer in order to save the project, which is set to play Jujamcyn's Walter Kerr Theatre. Now rumors are spreading that Rudin, who is also lead producer of "The Book of Mormon," is considering transferring the hit musical, which currently plays at Jujamcyn's Eugene O'Neill Theatre, to a Shubert theater merely out of spite.
