Bonanno family's Vincent Basciano Jr. sentenced to 24 months for marijuana trafficking

Vincent Basciano Jr., the son of an imprisoned former Bonanno family boss, was sentenced to 24 months in prison in federal court in Manhattan on Wednesday for his role in a marijuana trafficking conspiracy.

Basciano's brothers Stephen and Joseph were previously sentenced to 42 and 6 months, respectively by U.S. District Judge Richard Sullivan for their roles. His father Vincent "Vinny Gorgeous" Basciano is serving a life sentence for murder and racketeering.

The three brothers were charged last year.

Vincent Basciano Jr., 33, was also ordered to forfeit $2 million by Sullivan and will be confined to his house for the first year after his release from prison. He has already served two months.
