Local minister prays, cries for Bronx fire victims

A man and his teenage daughter died when a fire broke out in a Bronx apartment on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 14, 2018, officials said. The blaze started just after noon in the fourth-floor apartment of a New York City Housing Authority building in the Throggs Neck section of the borough, an FDNY spokeswoman said. Verna Dunn, minister at the Shout for Joy Baptist Church, was visibly distraught as she prayed, sang and wept for the victims.
