TIPA Project's 'The Glory of America'
Join five-time Golden Globe and seven-time Emmy Award winner Ed Asner, "The Wonder Years" star Dan Lauria and Tony Award winner Fritz Weaver, along with other Broadway stars for your fill of American patriotism. As part of the TIPA Project's "The Glory of America," a project of FREE public performances of the arts and literature founded and directed by Stanley Eugene Tannen, Asner, Lauria, Weaver and other celebs will read from great American speeches by the likes of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Abraham Lincoln, Susan B. Get ready for a British invasion brought on by a couple of New Yorkers. Authors Tony Fletcher, who has written biographies of Keith Moon and R.E.M., and Rob Sheffield, a music columnist for Rolling Stone, will stop by the BookCourt to talk about "A Light That Never Goes Out: The Enduring Saga of The Smiths," their new biography of iconic British band.
