DayLife Festival & Katz’s Pastrami-Eating Contest
Mmm, pastrami. Come out Sunday to help celebrate 125 years of New York staple Katz’s Delicatessen in its home hood of the Lower East Side with a pastrami-eating contest, put on by Major League Eating. And if you’re not into stuffing your face, there will be plenty of other activities in the Orchard Street DayLife festival, including pushcarts with food from the best of the LES; fashion; FREE yoga lessons; live music, outdoor games and face painters. World Science Festival
Get your nerd on this weekend as the World Science Festival returns with plenty of FREE events for the scientist in you. Check out robots, interactive video games and all things tech-related Saturday at Innovation Square at the Polytechnic Institute of NYU in Brooklyn. Then head over to Pier 1 at Brooklyn Bridge Park for some urban stargazing with astronomers in the evening.
