Cops: Queens man stopped at airport, charged with 2 burglaries

A Queens man was arrested at Kennedy Airport on Thursday in connection with a pair of Long Island burglaries, Nassau County police said.

Officers said Juan Morales, 36, entered through the rear glass door of a Saddle Rock home on Dec. 20, 2015, and stole money, jewelry and silverware.

Morales also entered through the rear glass door of a Lake Success home on Nov. 1, 2014, stealing money and jewelry, police said.

After an investigation, he was arrested by burglary detectives in conjunction with the FBI and the United States Customs and Border Patrol, authorities said.

Morales is charged with two counts of second-degree burglary and will be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
