De Blasio a ‘terrorist,’ Clinton aide wrote in leaked email

Hacked emails released on Thursday by the WikiLeaks organization show Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager called New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio a “terrorist” over his monthslong refusal to endorse the former secretary of state.

Robby Mook, Clinton’s campaign manager, was reacting to de Blasio’s praise of Clinton foe Bernie Sanders and withholding his nod for Clinton until what months after the rest of the Democratic establishment.

“Wow, what a terrorist,” Mook wrote to campaign spokeswoman Jennifer Palmieri last year, after being forwarded an excerpt of de Blasio’s favorable words for Sanders.

“Told you!” she replied.

WikiLeaks is dumping thousands of emails from the hacked account of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta. De Blasio said he wasn’t offended by what Mook said, but that the dump would cause a “huge change in culture” about what people put in email.

“Talk more, write less,” he said.
