Titles mean a lot in business, but for Samantha Marcus Yanks, who holds a lot of titles, such as editor-in-chief of Hamptons magazine, editor-at-large of Gotham magazine and executive fashion director for all of Niche Media, the titles mean a whole lot of fun. Born and raised in New York City, Yanks has a beautiful family, her own jewelry line and a toy line. At Niche Media, Yanks celebrates and explores everything from fashion and interesting people to philanthropy. Let’s see what she has to say.

Q: How is it working for all these Niche Media magazines?
A:
I love that Niche Media is the brand leader for luxury in cities all across the country ... I personally get to celebrate, see and capture the best of the best.

Q: How did you start?
A:
I started by interning at Condé Nast. My last year of college, I had an internship at InStyle ... I started working at InStyle, and got the dream call from Vogue and started in the tough junior job. Every time a position came open I asked to take on more, I was American Vogue’s first fine jewelry and watch editor, and I’m so proud of that.

Q: What’s a typical day like?
A:
During the summer, in the heat of Hamptons season, I’m usually at a breakfast with a designer, approving layouts for 13 issues, in cover meetings and trying to nail down [photo] shoots. At night, it’s usually dinner and events.

Q: What do you do with your daughter?
A:
My daughter just turned 6, and we start every day with her. I have breakfast with her every morning, and she’s my one constant.

Q: What do you do for you?
A:
My husband and I take turns going to Flywheel every weekend.

Q; Why Flywheel and not SoulCycle?
A:
My closest friend was the founder of Flywheel, and I’ve never been to SoulCycle.

Q: Where do you shop?
A
: Eden Manor, Castor & Pollux, Marni, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Barneys, Blue and Cream and Jeffrey.

Q: Favorite haunts?
A:
Otto, Morandi, Balthazar and Shake Shack.

Q: Favorite movie?
A:
“Annie Hall” and “The Godfather.”

Q: Favorite accessories?
A:
Diamond and moonstone snake drop earrings from my Samantha Yanks for Jennifer Miller collection.

Q: Favorite philanthropic organizations?
A:
Phoenix House, Love Heals and Literacy Partners.

Q: What’s your advice for others?
A:
It’s super important to not take no for an answer. If you fall in love with something and feel passionate ... you know you are on the right track.
