Gen. David Petraeus

Gen. David Petreaus, 60, resigned as director of the Central Intelligence Agency on Friday Nov. 9, 2012, after admitting to an extramarital affair. He assumed the leadership of the CIA in September 2011. He previously served as the top commander in Afghanistan, head of U.S. Central Command, and top commander in Iraq.
