It doesn’t seem fair, but these supermodels have worked hard for their money — a lot of it
New mom Gisele Bundchen is again the world’s No. 1 top-earning model, pulling in an estimated $25 million in the past year, according to rankings released Thursday by Forbes. Her haul includes earnings as a model for Victoria’s Secret, True Religion jeans and Dolce & Gabbana.
Brazilian-born Bundchen, 29, whose gorgeous face and body can be seen is just about any fashion ad, was a safe investment during the down economy, said Forbes reporter Steven Bertoni.
Bundchen, bride to football star Tom Brady, also has a skin care line and sandals brand.
“When companies did have the money, they wanted to spend on tried-and-true talent, proven talent,” Bertoni said.
That may explain why Heidi Klum, 36, also of Victoria’s Secret, took the No. 2 spot on Forbes’ list. The “Project Runway” host earned $16 million in the past year.
Kate Moss was third with $9 million. The 36-year-old Briton, a Versace model, also designs clothes with retailer Topshop.
