Greg Kelly is leaving early mornings behind and is moving to the nighttime slot on Monday, WNYW Fox 5 announced Thursday.

The "Good Day New York" co-anchor will be the sole anchor at 6 p.m. and co-anchor of the 10 p.m. newscast with Dari Alexander.

The move comes as the station shuffles around its news personalities to make room for Dave Price, the former CBS weatherman who worked for Fox from 1999 to 2003, according to Lew Leone, the station's vice president and general manager.

"Dave Price is an extremely talented and experienced morning news personality," Leone said in a statement. "The moment he became available, it was clear to me that he would be a great addition to our team."

Kelly, the 43-year-old son of Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, will replace Harry Martin, who will remain a co-anchor on WWOR My9 at 10 p.m., and Ernie Anastos, who will continue to co-host the 5 p.m. slot and additional "Positively Ernie" segments.

Kelly's new job comes a few months after the Manhattan DA investigated rape charges against him. The DA declined to press charges in February, and Kelly returned to the show a few days later after a brief hiatus.

A Fox spokeswoman said Kelly was unavailable to comment on Thursday.
