Palin

“Sarah Palin’s Alaska” premiere’s Sunday, giving viewers a chance to see The Last Frontier through the eyes of the feisty politician.

amNewYork looks at some other folks we’d like to take us on a tour of their homeland.

‘Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s Boston’

These two Beantown brothers-in-arms are synonymous with the city, and considering their extensive film work there, they’d be prime candidates to show off some of Boston’s hidden treasures. Just keep in mind that we’re not interested in Fenway Park. At all.

‘Stephen King’s Maine’

The Pine Tree State is the King’s domain, and we’d love to see the renowned author holding court over the can’t-miss spots up north. Plus, he’d definitely know the best spot to get lobster and blueberry pie.

‘Neil Young’s Canada’

The grizzled folk rocker is the quintessential Canadian — tough and rugged. As a backer of farming and environmental issues, Young certainly would be able to take us on a tour of some of the scenic beauty of our neighbor to the north.

‘Questlove’s Philadelphia’

While The Roots’ drummer spends a lot of time in New York City performing nightly on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” we’ll always associate the rap star with his hometown of Philly. We’re sure he’d take us to some choice spots and tell us where to find the best cheesesteak in town.

‘Heidi Klum’s Germany’

In all fairness, we’d watch the model and “Project Runway” star doing pretty much anything, but we think she could shed some personal light on Germany that goes deeper than the Autobahn and Oktoberfest.

‘Bruce Springsteen’s New Jersey’

The Boss knows New Jersey and he has the right kind of working-class attitude to really dig into the nitty-gritty behind-the-scenes spots the Garden State has to offer, starting with Asbury Park, which is rife with Springsteen landmarks.
