Imagine the heating bill for this house on the bank of Lake Ontario in upstate Webster, New York.
Photographer John Kucko said on Facebook he was "tipped off" to the existence of a summer home fully encased in ice. The home became covered in icicles after high winds sprayed the house with water from the lake.
As the metro area braces for snow forecast for Tuesday, parts of western New York have already experienced freezing temperatures and winds reaching over 80mph, according to Syracuse.com
"The violent wind we've had the last five days has taken a toll," Kucko said on Facebook.
The photo of the "ice house" has more than 2,000 likes and has been shared nearly 2,000 times at the time of writing.
"Many people think the images are photoshopped, they're not," he wrote. "Amazed at how many people think I sprayed foam on the place, too funny."
