Ivanka Trump's accused stalker is unfit for trial because he says he's under "supernatural influence," a Manhattan judge ruled Thursday.
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Lewis Stone said Justin Massler, 28, must spend a year in the Bellevue Hospital psych ward before he'll be allowed to stand trial again, according to published reports. He's charged with criminal contempt after contacting the Trump family after a court banned him from doing so.
Massler contested. "The psychiatric system was corrupt. I feel that I was under some supernatural influence and that aliens could have been involved," he reportedly told the judge Thursday.
Massler allegedly sent Trump messages and photos of himself drenched in blood and threatened to kill himself inside her Manhattan jewelry store.
"It's unfortunate that someone who had so much promise growing up would be affected by mental illness this way, and cause him to deteriorate to this level," Massler’s attorney, George Vomvolakis said in court, according to the Daily News.
