Ex-Jets reporter Jenn Sterger spoke Thursday with NFL officials about the steamy messages Brett Favre allegedly sent her in 2008, her manager told amNewYork.
Sterger’s interview came after weeks of speculation on whether she’d meet with the league. Her manager, Phil Reese, said he and Sterger’s team gave the NFL “substantial materials,” which reports said may increase the chance the league will discipline the star quarterback.
“We can confirm that a meeting took place with the NFL today and we cooperated fully by providing them with substantial materials in our possession,” he told amNewYork.
“We await the NFL’s investigation to be concluded.”
When he was quarterback for the Jets in 2008, Favre, 41, allegedly sent Sterger, 26, nude pictures, lewd voice mails and text messages. Two other women, both Jets massage therapists, also came forward, but it was unknown whether the NFL would speak with them.
Neither the NFL nor Favre’s rep returned calls for comment.
