A violent break-in at Jon Gosselin’s posh Upper West Side pad — and a note speared to his dresser with a knife — left the former reality star “horrified, disheartened and saddened,” his lawyer said Sunday.

A butcher knife-wielding burglar wreaked havoc on the 72nd Street apartment Saturday, slashing Gosselin’s clothes and furniture, attorney Mark Jay Heller said in a statement.

The “sick perpetrator” also shattered Gosselin’s century-old heirloom vase. The incident intended to “cut to his heart,” Heller said.

Gosselin, the 32-year-old octodad on the defunct “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” made his messy divorce from wife official this month. The name of his on-and-off girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, had been signed to the insulting note, according to published reports. Police said Sunday she was questioned Saturday night about “criminal mischief” in the case. Glassman reportedly moved out of Gosselin’s apartment recently.

An NYPD forensic team is analyzing the damage at Gosselin’s apartment and a handwriting expert will go over the note, Heller said. Police Sunday said no arrests have been made in the case.
