Trouble seems to follow Justin Bieber wherever he goes, as singer’s entourage is being investigated for allegedly roughing up a club-goer, according to published reports.
Bieber, 19, arrived at South Point, a popular Southampton nightclub, at around 2:30 a.m. Saturday with his posse, according to E! News. Bieber, who was reportedly on good behavior inside the hotspot, left a few hours later, but while he was waiting outside for several waitresses to join him, a fight erupted, E! News said.
The incident occurred off the club’s premises at around 4 a.m., when someone threw a rock at the pop star’s car. Bieber’s security then confronted the culprit, according to a statement from South Point.
“The police have confirmed that there was no incident in the club or on the premises and the altercation took place off the premises,” the statement said.
The man was treated at Peconic Bay Medical Center for minor injuries and pressed charges against members of Bieber’s entourage, but not the star himself.
“He was involved in an altercation and physically assaulted by subjects unknown to him but he believes them to be members of singer Justin Bieber’s security staff who he stated were also at the night club," a statement from the Southampton Town Police Department said.
Bieber’s rep confirmed to amNewYork that Bieber was "in his car and was not involved in any altercation."
