Katie Holmes has taken on Fashion Week.
With a bevy of bodyguards in tow, Holmes hit Lincoln Center Wednesday to make the Fashion Week debut of her line, Holmes & Yang, with stylist Jeanne Yang.
Anticipating a problem with crowd control surrounding the now ex-Mrs. Tom Cruise, IMG - which produces Fashion Week - sent out a warning to members of the media the night before the show, stating: "Please note that tomorrow's Holmes & Yang presentation is CLOSED to all media, unless you have already been approved by their team. No media will be allowed to enter the venue, unless you have a direct invitation from the Holmes & Yang PR team."
Some of the select few who made it inside the show riffed on the pieces' simple sophistication that is Holmes' signature aesthetic.
"It all looks very much like Katie," tweeted The New York Times' Eric Wilson.
One accessory that was missing from the presentation? Holmes' and Cruise's 6-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, who we assume was at school.
