"A Cat in Paris"

'A Cat in Paris'
The list of nominees for the Best Animated Feature Film Oscar usually includes whatever is new from Pixar, Disney or DreamWorks. But it seems an indie or foreign toon usually sneaks in and gets the publicity it deserves. Case in point: "A Cat in Paris," a charming French noir about a cat who goes between a young girl and a burglar. It is a joy to behold in the current environment of generic computer-animated films. Check it out. With French or English voice tracks. (DVD, $29.95; Blu-ray/DVD combo, $34.95)

'Rock of Ages'
Based on the hit Broadway show, this musical features tons of classic rock songs built into a trite story about a couple of youngsters trying to make it in Los Angeles. Despite being overly long and underwhelming, there are a the few clever scenes - the "Sister Christian" number in the beginning is a great start, but it's only downhill from there. Like the Journey song says, "The movie never ends, it goes on and on and on." (DVD, $28.98; Blu-ray/DVD combo, $35.99)

'Shut Up And Play the Hits'
Fans of LCD Soundsystem should check out this set which captures the music group's final performance, at Madison Square Garden last year. (DVD, $34.99; Blu-ray, $39.99)

'E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial: Anniversary Edition'
The 30th anniversary of Steven Spielberg's classic film about an alien and a young boy brings about a new digitally remastered transfer of the film, some new special features and, most importantly, an undoing of the changes the director made for the 20th anniversary. So long walkie-talkies, welcome back rifles. (DVD, $19.98; Blu-ray/DVD combo, $34.98)

'The Courier'
Have you ever wondered what "The Transporter" movies would be like if Jeffrey Dean Morgan starred in them instead of Jason Statham? (DVD, $24.98; Blu-ray, $29.98)

'CM Punk - Best in the World'
Show some respect for the WWE Champion and check out this new career retrospective collection which features a documentary on the smooth-talking grappler as well as a slew of matches. (DVD, $29.93; Blu-ray, $39.95)

Director Ridley Scott returns to sci-fi with this film about explorers looking to uncover the origin of man. Starring Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron. (DVD, $29.99; Blu-ray/DVD combo, $39.99; Blu-ray 3-D/Blu-ray/DVD combo, $49.99)

'The Raven'
John Cusack stars as Edgar Allan Poe in this period murder mystery from James McTeigue, the director of "V for Vendetta." (DVD, $29.98; Blu-ray, $39.99)

'Bones: The Complete Seventh Season' (DVD, $49.98; Blu-ray, $69.99)
'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season Seven' (DVD, $39.98; Blu-ray, $49.99)
