NYC's St. Patrick's Day parade 2014

The annual New York City St. Patrick's Day parade took place Monday, March 17, 2014, kicking off at 44th Street and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. The parade continued along Fifth Avenue until 79th Street, where it ends. For the first time, Mayor Bill de Blasio and the City Council will not participate in the parade because LGBT groups are banned from participating.
