“I did not have sex with that woman.”
Oprah Winfrey didn’t say exactly that in an interview with Barbara Walters airing Wednesday at 9 p.m. on ABC, but she may as well have.
In a teary, emotional chat, Winfrey clarified her much gossiped-about relationship with BFF, Gayle King.
“She is the mother I never had. She is the sister everybody would want. She is the friend everybody deserves,” Winfrey said, pausing to ask for a tissue. “I don’t know a better person,” she added — twice.
However, she insisted, she and King are not lovers. “I’m not even kinda lesbian,” Winfrey said.
The 56-year-old billionaire revealed that she lives with her long-time beau, PR. exec Stedman Graham, and that he’s “the love, the man, the partner, the mate” in her life.
The Oprah Winfrey Network launches on Jan. 1. Winfrey’s show ends on Sept. 9.
