Though the New York City Wine and Food Festival doesn't hit Gotham until October, it's best to suss out what you'll want to catch at this wildly popular event, before the tickets sell out.
Rachael Ray’s Burger Bash may be the fest’s signature event, but here’s a few others that we’re looking forward:
Chelsea Market After Dark (Oct. 7), allows you to taste a variety of foods at the market. It was one of our absolute faves last year. This year it will be hosted by Food Network's charmingly geeky Alton Brown.
Martha’s Milk and Cookies hosted by Martha Stewart (Oct. 9). What self-respecting foodie wouldn’t be excited to catch a glimpse of the doyenne of domesticity herself? Plus, starting a Saturday off with milk and cookies from the likes of Jacques Torres, Sullivan Street Bakery and Levain Bakery? Um…yes please.
Carts in the Parc with Andrew Zimmern (Oct. 10). Like all true New Yorkers, we are addicted to our food carts. Not to mention, the Travel Channel’s most adventurous eater, Andrew Zimmern, is pretty awesome.
Ace of Kids Cakes with Chef Duff Goldman (Oct. 10). Okay, we admit it. We’ve always dreamed about working at Charm City Cakes with the Food Network’s Duff Goldman and his awesome group of cake-making friends.
Tickets for the Oct. 7-10 festival go on sale on Monday at NYCwineandfoodfestial.com. Our advice: Book quickly.
