The NYPD said it investigated a “suspicious powdery substance” sent to Trump Tower in Manhattan Wednesday afternoon but later determined it posed no harm.

“It was rendered nonhazardous,” said NYPD Sgt. Brendan Ryan, adding that the letter was being evaluated by the city’s Department of Environmental Protection.

Ryan said officers responded to Trump Tower at 725 Fifth Ave. after a 3:15 p.m. 911 call of a suspicious package.

“Upon arrival, officers were met with an employee of the mail room,” Ryan said.
