Two of the top free agent running backs have new homes.
Former Dolphin Reggie Bush joins the Lions on a four-year deal, while ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Cardinals inked ex-Steeler Rashard Mendenhall to a one-year contract Wednesday.
Bush, 29, was the lead running back for Miami last season, but the Dolphins are going with younger backs in 2013. Detroit already has Mikel Leshoure on the roster, but the long-term contract shows a commitment to Bush, who ran for 986 yards and had six rushing touchdowns in 2012.
Mendenhall would have a chance to claim the Arizona backfield for himself after sharing carries in Pittsburgh last season. The 25-year-old ran for a career-high 1,273 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2010, but had just 51 carries for 182 yards last season as he attempted to recover from a torn ACL suffered in 2011.
