As condolences poured in from famous pals of heiress Casey Johnson, an autopsy completed Tuesday found that there was no evidence of suicide or homicide, according to a published report.
Law enforcement sources also told TMZ.com that there was “an insignificant” amount of prescription medication found in Johnson’s Los Angeles home where she was found dead Monday. Toxicology tests still need to be performed, which may help determine the cause of death, according to the Web site.
“I can’t stop these haunting visions of her and I,” tweeted Tila Tequila, the B-list reality TV star who was engaged to the troubled daughter of Jets owner Woody Johnson.
“In bed crying, looking at baby pictures of Casey, Nicky and I. I feel so upset,” tweeted Paris Hilton, who has known Johnson since childhood.
The 30-year-old Johnson, who grew up as an Upper East Side socialite before moving to Los Angeles eight years ago and gaining the reputation of a privileged party girl, was in line for the Johnson & Johnson fortune. In recent years she was in and out of rehab battling drug and alcohol addictions and was arrested in November for breaking into the Hollywood apartment of an ex-girlfriend. She also had been waging a public battle against her mother to regain custody of her adopted daughter Ava, now 3.
“It’s obviously a tragedy for Mr. Johnson and his family,” said Jets head coach Rex Ryan on Tuesday.
It is not yet known whether diabetes, which Johnson was diagnosed with as a child, played role in the death. She had twice fallen into diabetic comas and needed hospitalization, TMZ reported.
Johnson may have been dead and alone for days before a maid found her dead Monday, according to published reports. Tequila reportedly last saw her on New Year’s Eve.
