The Palin camp bit back against bombshell allegations in a forthcoming book about Palin, saying the author has a "creepy obsession" with Palin.
"This is a man who has been relentlessly stalking my family to the point of moving in right next door to us to harass us and spy on us. He traffics in innuendo and falsehoods," Palin's husband Todd said Thursday of the book's author, Joe McGinniss.
"[He has] an ax to grind in order to churn out a hit piece to satisfy his own creepy obsession with my wife."
Salacious details in the forthcoming book, "The Rogue: Searching for the real Sarah Palin," were leaked this week and alleged that in her younger years, Palin did cocaine, slept with a future NBA star and cheated on her husband with a business associate of his.
Her husband denied all of the allegations as "unsubstantiated gossip."
Palin, 47, has been flirting with a 2012 presidential run all year, but has yet to declare. Experts said the allegations may make her a sympathetic figure among supporters but will not help her to sway other voters.
