A 34-year-old woman was shot in the left ankle after she got caught in the middle of an argument between two ticket sellers near Battery Park on Monday, a police source said.
The woman was an innocent bystander when the suspect opened fire just before 3:20 p.m. on Battery Place, police said.
The two ticket sellers got into an argument and one pulled out a gun, shooting his 40-year-old counterpart in the torso.
The woman was taken to Bellevue Hospital Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said. The other ticket seller, a man, took himself to NYU Langone Cobble Hill.
Police arrested a 26-year-old man in the area after conducting a canvas, and charges were pending on Monday evening.
