Happy summer! This season is filled with mixing and matching, monogramming and even super sunproof clothes for those who don’t want to get too tan.

For those who are interested in channeling the Southampton summer look, mix your designers. Colorful prints from C. Wonder mixed with beaded shorts by Denim & Supply make for a playful summer look. Add a pair of Sam Edelman sandals, or red Dr. Scholl’s, and you are ready for any Southampton party.

And if you don’t want to get tan, visit Mott50.com for the ultimate in summer clothing that provides UV protection — and a chic look at the beach. Sarah Brown, beauty editor at Vogue, clued me into this big secret. Shhh.

And for those who are looking for a new pair of shades, try Velvet Eyewear. The owner of the brand literally came up to me at my “In the Spirit of the Hamptons” (Assouline) book signing, and gave me a pair.

If you are looking for something chic for your summer dining, get a set of monogrammed plates, like those from C. Wonder. You can even spell out your name if you want — cute, right?

This weekend my Denim & Supply shorts were a big hit, but my fragrance and bronzed legs caught a lot of attention, too. Jo Malone’s Wild Bluebell was the scent of Saturday. Spray it in your hair to make it last longer, and cream up those gorgeous legs with La Mer’s new gradual self-tanner. I’m obsessed.

And last but not least, for those New York nights, head to Calypso St. Barth — which has a handful of NYC locations — for chic and easy summer dresses. Once you put one on, you feel like you are in St. Barths even though you are walking down Broadway. I love the fantasy that’s attached to these clothes. Vacation, here I come — or at least I can dress like I’m on one.
