Snow may no longer be part of the Super Bowl weather discussion, with only a slight chance of showers Sunday. But temperature has become an increasingly interesting element -- higher, not lower.
With all the angst over the possibility of blizzard conditions for the game, the high for the day is now forecast to be in the mid-40s, meteorologists say.
Based on Thursday morning's data, look for a temperature of 45 in midafternoon, dipping to around 42 by dusk and 39 by around 8 p.m., said Tim Morrin, National Weather Service meteorologist.AccuWeather's site WillItSnow.com indicates a high for the day of 46, dropping to 39 in the evening. The day was looking to be "mainly cloudy with a shower possible," but not at game time.
