Forty-two people suffered minor injuries yesterday morning after a PATH train slammed into the platform as it pulled into the Hoboken station.
The jolt tossed at least 33 people inside the car, according to the Port Authority.
The Port Authority and the National Transportation Safety Board were investigating whether the crash was caused by human error or a mechanical failure. A spokeswoman for the Port Authority said none of the injuries appeared to be serious.
Mark Rabson, spokesman for the Jersey City Medical Center, said six passengers brought to the hospital suffered whiplash and soreness, but none were bleeding or had broken any bones. All six were released by yesterday afternoon.
