A former mental patient who reportedly told Uma Thurman’s assistant that the star should marry him instead is behind bars — again.
Jack Jordan, 39, was arrested last week and is being held in a Maryland jail after violating a five-year order of protection prohibiting him from contacting the “Kill Bill” actress, according to published reports.
Jordan reportedly tried to contact Thurman at her Manhattan office and and on cell phone in October, and ranted to Thurman’s assistant that Arpad Busson — the French-born Swiss financier to whom the actress was once engaged — was not worthy of her, and that she should marry him instead.
Diagnosed with schizophrenia, Jordan was placed on probation in 2008 after being convicted in New York City of aggravated harassment and stalking Thurman, now 40.
At the trial, Thurman testified that she was “completely freaked out” after Jordan gave her a card saying, “my hands should be on your body at all times,” and that she feared for the lives of her son and daughter when Jordan referred to them in letters he sent her.
Jordan is awaiting extradition to New York.
